Twenty years later and it was time to bring this drab and outdated kitchen up-to-date. Getting in touch with Creative Kitchens through their website, these clients met with Ernie to discuss their requirements and various kitchen design ideas.

The brief from the client was simple; more space, organised shelving, a family-size fridge and two ovens. At the heart of this home, the kitchen needed to be spacious and functional, yet stylish and sophisticated, fitting in with this modern family home.

Floor to ceiling cabinetry embossed in a Designer White provides ample storage space, while the 60mm thick Linen stainless steel hob top and 30mm thick Organic White Caesar Stone island benchtop offer generous food preparation and serving areas.

Fitted out with Bosch appliances, this kitchen features a number of space saving elements; sliding drawers in the pantry make it easy to store and reach all pantry items, and the blind corner unit is fitted with a Le Mans 2 tiered sliding shelf system, adding to the storage space. The sink is a rebate undermounted Mercer Bristol 1 and a ½ insert; simple, yet unobtrusive.

Drawers are fitted with Blum soft closing Antaro Tandembox runners, and hinges are Blum Inserta soft close. Ducting, power feeds and the rangehood (a 900mm power pac) are hidden behind doors, obscured from view even when the overhead cabinet doors are open.

Warm white halogen and strip lighting under the overhead cabinets above the hob add to the inviting atmosphere. Overall the effect is a clean and uncluttered look, with a kitchen that is perfect for entertaining family and friends.
