The owners wanted a kitchen for the whole family to enjoy, but they also wanted it to be a standout feature of their new home. The living room and the outside deck both look onto the space, so it was vital to create a room that was visually appealing.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area, and the client wanted to have a sense of privacy here, while not closing it off from the rest of the house.
To achieve this, Jordan, Creative Kitchen’s designer, created raised painted glass cabinets between the kitchen and dining area, capped at the end with thick floating shelves. This allows decorative items to be displayed, creating an aesthetic look and also providing a view into the other rooms while dining.
The cabinets are finished in 100% two-pot gloss lacquer giving a modern luxurious feel.
The aluminium extrusion handles and aluminium-framed doors, complete with painted glass inserts, provide a contemporary look.
A crisp Linen finish of stainless steel embellishes the benchtops and pelmet above the hob.
The kitchen also features the latest in technology, with Blum indigo black drawer runners which glide closed softly, and Blum effortless soft closing hinges on the doors. The Blum Aventos lift-up mechanisms installed provide ease of access and smart storage solutions.
The kitchens combinations of black and white finishes have created an alluring, dramatic space.
The black and white theme has been accented throughout the new home and blends everything together beautifully.
