Wanting to bring their kitchen up to date, these clients contacted Creative Kitchens after recommendations from two different companies.

Their main requirements for their new kitchen included enough space for their family-sized fridge, indoor / outdoor flow between the kitchen and the patio outside, and a full-sized pantry with plenty of easy-to-reach shelving. Aside from creating a modern, stylish design, functional space with enough room for storage, cooking and entertaining was essential.

Choosing Creative Kitchens came down to Ernie’s expertise and experience; by providing them with specific details on storage options for crockery, cookware and small appliances, as well as structural advice on creating a laundry separate from the kitchen, these clients were able to visualise the end result.

“We loved the idea of a blank canvas; neutral shades that blended into the rest of the house, allowing us to add splashes of colour in the kettle, toaster and decorative elements. More importantly, we wanted a clutter-free area with clean lines for a stylish appearance and a functional kitchen that was easy to use.”

Featuring Series 3 Dezignatek doors and drawers, in “Rhonda” style, a crisp, clean look was achieved. The benchtop is 30mm thick Caesar stone Osprey, taken into the window section and mitred to suit the sill height, providing a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor. A large sliding window opens the kitchen up to the outside areas.

All cabinetry and drawers feature Blumotion soft close Antaro and hinges are Blum soft close Inserta’s. The 2-tiered sliding shelf Le Mans system fitted to the blind corner base cabinet makes clever use of this often wasted space while still being easily accessible.The large pantry has a Topline sliding door mechanism, which retracts into a pocket so doors don’t need to open outwards, another space-saving element.

“My favourite feature in this kitchen is the handy spice drawer; right next to the stove top, it opens up fully so that I don’t need to scratch around for the things I need.”

Fitted with Blum HF double lift up arms, the overhead cabinetry is so easy to open, and the bright, white tiles on the splashback wall add to the overall clean and clutter-free design. Completing this kitchen are traditional pewter tapware and cabinetry door knobs.
