Home to this family for close to 15 years, the team at Creative Kitchens were recently called in to transform this kitchen into a vibrant, bold statement.
“Friends of ours recommended Creative Kitchens. And we’d seen some of their work so knew we wanted them to re-design our new kitchen. I’d definitely recommend them. They’ve done an amazing job!” say the owners.
What was previously a small, poky kitchen with no flow is now an open-plan, trendy, family kitchen and undoubtedly the heart of this home. Reminiscent of a summer’s day, the brilliant white cabinetry sharply contradicts the orange panels, creating a warm and welcoming look and feel to this kitchen.
“When Boriana suggested the tangerine orange gloss finish on the panels, I was understandably a little hesitant. But I decided to go with her suggestion on the design and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. We’ve had so many compliments and just love our new kitchen.”
Opening up the walls on both sides of the kitchen to create flow through the dining, kitchen and sitting room, was key to getting it right in the new design and layout of this modern kitchen design. With a larger space to fill, the new kitchen layout provides ample storage and benchtop space.
Doors, panels and kicks use a combination of Resene Alabaster White and Trinidad Orange in Hi Gloss finish, while benchtops are Laminex Solid Surface in Chalk White. As the sink mould has been done in the same material, there are no lines, simply a clean, blemish-free surface.
“We love the bright colours and the funky, modern design. It just feels so airy and spaceous now. With the drawers that pull out for easy access to our pantry items and all of the storage space on both sides of the ktichen bench, it’s just a dream using our new kitchen.”
Drawers and Pantry are fitted with Blum Tandembox soft close runners and cabinetry doors with Blum soft close hinges. Handles are a combination of negative rail detail and “Tip on”.
